I'm ready to give up and create several browser links for the Hootoo Security cameras I have. I really think me too! Have you ever looked at "Motion" or "WXCAM" which are both Ubuntu supported. PS: they have a pretty extensive table of camera and their individual settings.linked somewhere in that page I posted. Well, partly I was curious about using that software on this Astak camera, but the setup etc for zoneminder are more than I want to deal with. Shows you where executable programs are located - you don't need to enter paths for these, tho you might if you custom-install something into your "Download" directory, which isn't in your $PATH.įlemur wrote: Thanks for all the assistance, Flemur. * I just installed "AlsaModularSynth" (didn't work) its executable was called "ams". Should give command line usage (sometimes both work, sometimes neither.). Will show you where it is (should be the same thing you see in the "bin" file list). (zm = possible name for "zoneminder"*) in the list of software files.Īnd it should do something (you shouldn't need the entire /usr/bin/zm)** or It'd be nice if the installers gave a little more info.but it's there, just not real easy to find - below. There might even be a "recently installed" category. I don't use menus much, but installers usually put entries in the (system/programs) menu you might poke around in the appropriate menu categories.
